The Las Vegas Aces becomes the 3rd team in WNBA history to win consecutive championship games (Houston Comets (1997-2000), Los Angeles Sparks (2001-2002), Las Vegas Aces (2022-2023). The Aces defeated the New York Liberty 69-70 in game 4 of the 2023 WNBA Finals despite playing without two of their starters (Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes). Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes were both out with a foot injury. The New York Liberty started the game on fire and led by 10 points in the 1st quarter; however, the Aces weren’t going to leave New York without a trophy. The Aces were led by their All-Star Forward A’Ja Wilson who scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. The 4th quarter of this game was electrifying! With just 8.8 seconds remaining in the game, the Liberty’s guard Courtney Vandersloot missed a buzzer-beater, and the Aces started celebrating their win in the middle of the Barclay Center’s court.
