Kelsey Mitchell didn’t just lead the Fever past the Aces she added to a season that keeps getting harder to ignore. Indiana had a 109-75 win against the Las Vegas Aces, and Mitchell’s 27 points were the engine behind it, pushing her into rare WNBA territory with a sixth straight 25-point game.
Mitchell wasn’t forcing anything. She was in rhythm from the start, getting to her spots, punishing switches, and making Vegas pay whenever the coverage broke down. She scored 20 in the first half alone, and by the time Indiana went into the locker room up 59-48, she had already set the tone. The Fever were clean, sharp, and way more decisive than the Aces.
That has been the story of Mitchell’s stretch. She’s now scored in double figures in 39 straight games, the second longest streak in franchise history, and she’s doing it while carrying the kind of load that usually gets talked about in postseason award, but this wasn’t one of those nights where she just piled up numbers. She stayed in control, picked her spots, and made the game feel easy.
Caitlin Clark added 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and even on a minutes restriction as she works back from a lingering back issue, she kept Indiana’s spacing and tempo steady. Aliyah Boston was every bit as important, finishing with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sophie Cunningham chipped in 20 and tied a season high with six threes, which only made the floor feel wider for Mitchell.
And once Indiana got rolling, Vegas had no answer.
A’ja Wilson finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Chelsea Gray added 15, but the Aces never really recovered after the Fever started stringing stops together. Las Vegas cut it to four early in the third, and Dana Evans brought the building to life for a moment with a three in her season debut, trimming it to 66-62. That was the last real breath.
From there, Indiana took off.
The Fever outscored the Aces 43-9 the rest of the way. That’s not a typo. It was a full collapse on Vegas’ side and a clinic from Indiana on the other end. Ball movement, shot selection, pace all of it got cleaner as the game went on, and Mitchell stayed right in the middle of it.
Indiana has now beaten Las Vegas twice in a row, including last week’s 84-68 win, and this one was even more of a blowout. The Fever never trailed and led by as many as 34.
At this point, Mitchell isn’t just having a good season. She’s stacking up one of the best scoring runs the league has seen, and Indiana is riding it.
Fever host Golden State on Wednesday. The Aces head to Toronto next Monday.
