The Las Vegas Aces kept their roll going with a hard fought 100-97 win over the Minnesota Lynx, using late poise and big-shot execution to grab control of the West in the Commissioner’s Cup race.

A’ja Wilson delivered another standout night, finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds while leading Las Vegas in the biggest moments. Chelsea Gray also came through under pressure, as both players knocked down crucial free throws in the final 20.5 seconds to help the Aces close out their sixth straight victory.

Minnesota pushed them all the way. Rookie Olivia Miles erupted for a career-high 29 points and gave the Lynx multiple chances to steal the game late, including a three-point play that put Minnesota ahead by one with less than a minute to go.

The final seconds were tense throughout. Jewell Loyd answered with three free throws after drawing contact behind the arc, and Miles briefly swung the lead back to Minnesota with a clutch 3-pointer. But when the Lynx had one last chance to tie, the shot didn’t fall, and Las Vegas escaped with the win.

The result not only extended the Aces’ run, but it also tightened the race for Commissioner’s Cup position. With the East and West leaders set to meet June 30 for the championship, Las Vegas now sits in a strong spot heading into the stretch.

Minnesota will look to bounce back at home against Portland on Monday night, while the Aces head to Dallas the same night.
