The Sparks are going back to where it all started, but they’re not stuck there.

As the franchise steps into its 30th season, LA is choosing to celebrate its roots while still moving forward, and that message is stitched all through their new “Origin” jersey.

It’s not just about a new look; it’s about honoring the foundation. The players who built it, the moments that defined it, and the city that’s always been behind it. You can see LA all over this jersey, from the style to the attitude. It’s clean, but it speaks loudly.

“The Origin jersey is a celebration of where it all began,” said Tracie Jackson, the team’s SVP of Marketing and Communications. “It honors the players, moments and city that built this franchise.”

And that’s really what this is respect.

Respect for the past, but also a reminder that the Sparks still expect to matter right now.

The design taps into that old school Sparks feel but updates it just enough to match today’s game. It connects generations from the legends who put the franchise on the map to the players carrying it today.

And the timing lines up perfectly.

With the WNBA hitting its 30th season, the Sparks are part of the league’s new “Court Origins” rollout, alongside the Liberty and Mercury three teams that were there from day one. Select games this season will lean all the way into that throwback vibe, from the uniforms to the game ball to the whole arena feel.

It’s nostalgia, but with purpose.

Because while some teams are still trying to figure things out early, the Sparks are grounded in who they are. No guessing. No searching.

They know their story.

And it continues May 10 at Crypto.com Arena when they open the season against the Las Vegas Aces a game that’s going to feel bigger than just night one.

This isn’t just about celebrating 30 years.

It’s about reminding everybody that the Sparks have always been part of the league’s foundation and they’re not going anywhere.
