Azzi Fudd looked right at home in her first WNBA start.
The No. 1 overall pick scored 22 points, helping the Dallas Wings to a 95-87 win over the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night. What began as a competitive matchup turned decisively in Dallas’ favor behind a dominant second-half performance.
Jessica Shepard was just as impactful, recording her second triple-double of the season with 22 points, a career-high 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. She took control in the third quarter, scoring 11 points and tying the game late in the period to shift the momentum.

Dallas carried that run into the fourth. Shepard opened the quarter with a basket to give the Wings their first lead since early in the game, and they built from there.
Her playmaking sealed it. With under three minutes remaining, Shepard found Awak Kuier for a three-pointer that pushed the lead to nine. On the next key possession, Paige Bueckers knocked down a three of her own, stretching the advantage and putting the game out of reach.
Bueckers finished with 20 points and six assists, while Kuier added 12 points. Arike Ogunbowale was limited to 18 minutes due to illness.
Las Vegas, meanwhile, couldn’t sustain its early rhythm. A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 21 points, and Jackie Young added 15, but the team was outscored 50-34 after halftime in its second straight loss.
Dallas will look to keep building momentum when it hosts Seattle next, while Las Vegas continues its road trip in Golden State.
